The 5th International Conference on Public Health for Tropical and Coastal Development (ICOPH-TCD) was organized by the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang, Indonesia. After four successful events in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022, we are proud to present the 5th ICOPH-TCD, held on July 30th – 31st, 2024. Most of the participants submitted and published their article in the SCOPUS and WoS-indexed conference proceedings. This proceeding contains all the articles presented at the 5th ICOPH-TCD. The general theme was “Climate-Sensitive Health Risks in Coastal Living Environments.” The conference covered various areas of public health, including administration and health policy, biostatistics, population studies, health information systems, epidemiology and entomology, health promotion and behavioral sciences, public health nutrition, maternal and child health, environmental health, occupational health and safety, and other topics related to tropical and coastal development.
The conference featured 208 oral presenters from seven countries: Indonesia, the United States, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and India. The editors of this proceeding represent five countries, including Prof. Han Jin-Hee (South Korea), Prof. Kun-Hsien Tsai (Taiwan), Prof. Dr. Siti Nursheena (Malaysia), Dr. Siriruk Changrob (United States), Prof. Martha Irene Kartasurya, MD, M.Sc., Ph.D. (Indonesia), Assist.
